Fan Wen (1962) is a Chinese writer, based in Beijing. He has written a number of novels, amongst these a trilogy of highly acclaimed historical novels about life in Tibet (Harmonious Land, 2004, Compassionate Land, 2006, and Canticle to the Land, 2010). These and all other novels by catholic Fan Wen are reflections of a dialogue between religions, ethnicities, and cultures. His works have earned him a number of prices in China, amongst these the National Outstanding Book Award. Besides writing novels he is the editor of Frontier Literature. One of his books has been translated into French, one is being translated into English.
